As a purpose-driven brand, we believe in using business to save our planet and improving lives. HAVAH is an active participant in promoting prosperity while protecting the planet through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We handcraft quality products that create good for people and the environment.
All our projects create jobs in local communities which help reduce poverty, hunger and inequality while also empowering women and girls.
For every product sold we plant trees in Madagascar and Myanmar. The mangrove trees store 4x the amount of carbon compared to tropical rainforests. These projects not only capture carbon but also create jobs in local communities to protect ecosystems, thereby reducing hunger and poverty.
Providing Clean Drinking Water
Hydrologic, an award-winning Cambodian social enterprise, is providing access to clean, safe drinking water to more than 1 million Cambodian families by locally produced ceramic water purifiers. This project not only improves public health but also reduces carbon emissions and protects Cambodian forests. 25 jobs have been created in local communities via this project.
This project is a conservation and sustainable harvesting project in the Madre de Dios region in southeast Peru. This project protects and promotes the biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest, protecting the habitat of 35 endangered species while also creating 95 jobs in local communities.
Investing in Renewable Energy
The Burgos Wind Project is the largest wind farm in the Philippines. This project creates jobs in local communities and reduces fossil fuel-generated electricity thereby producing cleaner renewable energy while also reducing hunger and poverty.
