All eyes are on the COP26 to determine the fate of the planet. The COP26 started on the 31st of October and we eagerly await the outcome of the summit that will run until the 12th of November.
As an eco-friendly brand focusing on social good, HAVAH has been supporting the COP26 goals since Feb 2021. We do not believe that this is the responsibility of countries only but also the responsibility of companies.

As an eco-friendly brand focusing on social good, HAVAH has been supporting the COP26 goals since Feb 2021. We do not believe that this is the responsibility of countries only but also the responsibility of companies.
Here’s how HAVAH has been contributing to the COP26 goals...
Countries are being asked to come forward with ambitious 2030 emissions reductions targets that align with reaching net zero by the middle of the century.
To deliver on these stretching targets, countries will need to:
Since Feb 2021, we have partnered with Green Story to reforest degraded land in India and invested in renewable energy at the Burgos Wind Farm in the Philippines. Later in May 2021, we started investing in the Madre de Dios region in southeast Peru to avoid deforestation.
The climate is already changing and it will continue to change even as we reduce emissions, with devastating effects.
At COP26 we need to work together to enable and encourage countries affected by climate change to:
Through our partner Green Story, we have been providing clean drinking water to more than 1 million families in Cambodia through our investment in UN Sustainable Development Goals since Feb 2021.
From March 2021, we also partnered with Ecologi and Eco Cart to plant trees in Madagascar and Myanmar for every order on our website.
We can only rise to the challenges of the climate crisis by working together.
At COP26 we must:
Our partners Green Story and Eco Cart enable us to offset our carbon footprint all the way to our customer’s doorstep. Ecologi and Eco Cart plant trees for every order placed on our website.
All these partnerships enable us to invest in all the 17 Sustainable Development Goals from the United Nations that have the power to create a brighter future for people and the environment.
At HAVAH, we believe that this is the responsibility of companies as much as it’s the responsibility of the countries. We can only make this happen “together for our planet”.
]]>As HAVAH continues to grow, we have an increasing responsibility to commit additional resources toward our values in order to maximize the positive impact of our products. At HAVAH, we have long held the conviction that we can be both a great business and a great corporate citizen. In fact, we believe we cannot be one without the other.
Corporate social responsibility is cemented in HAVAH’s DNA because our people believe deeply in making the world a better place.
]]>Being human means releasing planet-warming carbon emissions into the atmosphere. It happens when we take a shower, charge our phones, or let out a yawn after a long day. Just like humans release carbon pollution, so do businesses - and HAVAH is no exception.
Everyday in the U.S. alone, ecommerce packages travel about the same distance as going to the moon and back ...133,000 times. Online shopping has transformed retail. Unfortunately, it’s also impacting the environment, and not for the better. Having an order conveniently delivered to your doorstep is a major contributor to climate change.
We’re on a Mission
As HAVAH continues to grow, we have an increasing responsibility to commit additional resources toward our values in order to maximize the positive impact of our products. At HAVAH, we have long held the conviction that we can be both a great business and a great corporate citizen. In fact, we believe we cannot be one without the other.
Corporate social responsibility is cemented in HAVAH’s DNA because our people believe deeply in making the world a better place.
What HAVAH is Doing?
We are already offsetting our carbon footprint in our supply chain with Green Story and now we're increasing our efforts to do more by offsetting the carbon footprint of your order on your behalf when it gets delivered to you.
We’re becoming one of the few ecommerce brands to offset 100% of our carbon emissions related to getting your orders to your doorstep. This achievement is the result of an effort to measure our global footprint in accordance with international certification standards, coupled with efforts to reach carbon neutrality.
For every one of our amazing items that ships, we now balance it with a positive environmental impact thanks to our partner, EcoCart. The full environmental impact of getting your favourite HAVAH products to your door is completely neutralised.
This initiative comes at no additional cost to our customers. It simply comes with the satisfaction of knowing that shopping with us means making a positive impact on the planet.
So now you’ll know when a package from us arrives at your door, you’ll get something you love and you’ll be proud of the fact that you’re taking a small step towards making a big change in the world.
No idea what Carbon Offsetting is?
What does it mean to offset emissions?
It means that for any carbon emissions released into our atmosphere as a result of getting you your items from HAVAH, we invest in projects that reduce carbon emissions by the same amount. It’s almost like we’re taking a debt from the planet, then immediately paying it back.
How does it work?
Now, each time someone buys an item at HAVAH, we will automatically purchase verified emissions reductions, more commonly known as “offsets” through our partners at EcoCart. These purchases support environmental projects, like wind and solar farms that create clean energy, or protecting trees that would otherwise be cut down so that they can continue to absorb carbon from the air. On top of it, we make sure that these projects are doing some extra good like protecting animals or supporting underserved communities.
Why is this important?
HAVAH has always been conscious of our impact and actively worked to lighten our carbon footprint. We believe that if we all work together towards positive change, we can make the world a cleaner, healthier place.
What do you mean carbon neutral?
When we say we’ll be “carbon neutral” (“net zero” is another term you’ll hear), that means that we will eliminate, capture, or otherwise mitigate all of the carbon emissions we create from shipping and manufacturing our products to your door.
Will this come at a cost to me?
No, we’re picking up the tab on this one! It's simply another reason to shop with us.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has changed our lifestyle, especially the way we exercise or enjoy physical activities. Unfortunately, the pandemic has changed our lifestyle, especially the way we exercise or enjoy physical activities. However, there are many ways you can stylishly wear activewear from the comfort of our own home ready for those zoom calls or facetime chats!
We have put together four ways you can continue to look good.
The Oversized Top
Sports leggings with an oversized cardigan weren't even thought of until COVID-19 hit last year. This look has recently been on trend as one comfy look to rock this year. So don’t hesitate to pull out your knitted cardis when you want to lounge in sportswear during the colder months.
Tracksuits
Tracksuits have a comeback in fashion, although they were always considered as a key activewear essential. This type of outfit has been silent over the years until now. According to the LA Times, especially the velour tracksuit is cool again. So don't be afraid to take out those old tracksuits or purchase one on Depop to be fashionable and relaxed.
Oversized Vintage
A trendy look is wearing an oversized jumper from iconic brands such as Nike, Champion, Adidas and Reebok with leggings and trainers. This is a typical comfy, chilled and relaxed look. The oversized look is a classic
Reinvented Preloved Activewear
A few vintage lovers are starting to reinvent their preloved clothes. Many have adopted a sewing kit and learnt to crop those oversized activewear tops, baggy jeans and oversized tracksuit bottoms. This doesn't only get your creative juices flowing but also reinvents your old clothes into new styles and fashion pieces. If you can't sew or haven't got the time, support your local seamstress or tailor by contacting about changing your preloved clothes
Remember it's ok to wear leggings or trainers all day to make you feel much comfier. However you want to wear your activewear, wear it with pride.

We're going to dive into four significant trends that will help you shop better this year.
Heels are out, Loungewear in!
Our new going-out on a Friday night is an organised quiz on Zoom. However, this means the type of clothes we wear now is generally much comfier! Within the UK, demand for loungewear and casualwear has skyrocketed by 49%. So the next time you shop, look for comfy wear whether that’s preloved, vintage activewear or an oversized vintage jumper.
Shop on a Budget
Due to changes to our work-life, some of us had to find much more affordable ways to look fashionable. When we are shopping budgets, have been put in place to manage our spending. Due to this, second-hand purchasing is one way you can get what you want for more than half the retail price.
Continue to Shop Online
Majority of us are restricted to stay at home. Therefore, shopping online seems to be the easiest, quickest and most effective way to pick out your favourite styles. It has been reported more than one-third of consumers now shop online weekly since the pandemic hit in April last year and it will continue to grow. Don’t worry you can still support local and small businesses online on platforms like Etsy.
Sustainability Is Growing
The pandemic has certainly made customers much more aware of the environment and what we need to do to combat climate change. Sustainability is becoming a big trend in the packaged goods and fashion industry. This change in attitudes has influenced the rise of second-hand and eco-friendly fashion.
Although the pandemic has created many changes, remember there are alternative ways to shop which is better for fashion longevity.

]]>Saving the planet together with you...
Our goal has always been to provide designer activewear for fabulous women who want to minimise their impact on the planet without compromising on quality, style, comfort and performance. Adding carbon offsetting to our list of sustainable practices is another step we take our customers closer to saving our planet.
How are we tackling the issue of Climate Change?
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from human activities like burning fossil fuels and clear-cutting forests are rising quicker than the planet can naturally regulate, resulting in climate change. The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to climate change.
We already use eco-friendly inks and employ sustainable manufacturing practices to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions. But it’ll take some time to reduce our emissions all the way to net zero, there are still emissions which are unavoidable. This is where carbon offsets come in.
We’re tackling these unavoidable emissions by investing in offset projects such as renewable energy, forest conservation and energy efficiency. These projects prevent future carbon emissions and remove existing CO2 from the atmosphere.
We buy carbon offset credits from these projects that are equal to our unavoidable emissions. This provides crucial funding for these projects to continue to thrive while making all our products carbon neutral from ‘seed to shelf’.
We want you to be part of our carbon neutral journey
You can now experience our carbon neutral journey across your entire shopping experience. Every carbon neutral product can be identified by a ‘carbon neutral’ visual on the product page. Click on the visual to see the exact amount of carbon offset for that product and explore the projects we invest in.
Every purchase confirmation email has a ‘Carbon Neutral’ button so that you can click and learn more about your carbon neutral order and the communities you’ve supported through the offset projects. We’ll also send you an official Carbon offset certificate from our partner, Green Story with a unique transaction ID to ensure the validity of the offset.
How do we select offset Projects?
We worked with Green Story to calculate the CO2 emissions from each stage of our supply chain. This enabled us to measure our carbon footprint for each product and find the best suited carbon offset projects.
Our approach for carbon neutrality is to offset our carbon footprint along our supply chain and have a mix of Reforestation, Renewable Energy and Community projects. We worked with Green Story to handpick projects based on their type, location, and benefits. Each project supports multiple UN sustainable development goals in addition to offsetting CO2. All our projects are rigorously verified and certified through The Gold Standard and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). These independent verifiers make sure that the projects are working to deliver the benefits they promise.
It’s no coincidence that these projects are creating meaningful impact throughout the communities that our supply chain touches. See where we’re contributing below:
PROTECTING OUR FORESTS
INVESTING IN RENEWABLE ENERGY
HELPING OUR COMMUNITIES
We wanted to go the extra mile and we’re super excited we took our first step to carbon neutrality with Green Story!
We’re excited to share our carbon neutral journey with you as we’re all in this together and we are proud of the impact we’re making together with you.
Please share this with your friends and family and let’s create a brighter future together.
